On Packing…

That was given to me, stole that from my family, that was given to me, I bought that, I bought that and I bought that.

I bought that, that was given to me, stole that from my family, I bought that, bought that, that was given to me, stole that from my family, that was stolen from me.

I’m labeling the stuff I’ve got, figuring what I’ve lost.

I’m looking in the boxes, trying to see myself.

This is neat except for the "stole from my family" part. I hate that part. Naughty, naughty.
I guess we can see ourselves in our stuff. Is this why "ridding out", as our custodian at school calls it,is so hard--you might lost a part of yourself if you let go of the wrong thing. It is a frightening thought unless you consider your soul your treasure box.

I remember that spoken word album.. inventory. It's interesting, I'm currently doing inventory for our department. There are about 35 pages, front and back, of items in a long long list that I have to confirm where they are on campus. Of course I have a lot of help. I'm down to 5 pages. Only took a month. Almost.. there...
