Even though I'm no longer in Japan, I've still found opportunities to taste new and unusual food products. To be sure, I've missed all the wacky varieties of KitKat that the Lawson or 7-11 keeps I stock... but I do believe I've found something even wackier: Pepsi Cappuccino!
It's a combo of... wait for it!... PEPSI AND CAPPUCCINO!!!! It tastes best, to me, when really cold - almost icy. I can't say it tastes like cola but I also can't say it tastes like coffee. I think it tastes like medicine, actually. I keep taking little sips to try and place the taste more accurately, but it's not coming to me.
I've heard it's been around for a while in parts of Eastern Europe but only recently introduced here in Turkey. I haven't seen Coca Cola Blak yet, but I can't wait to try it and compare.
There are so many funny products that make their way onto the market - I seem to have missed things like "Pepsi Holiday Spice" and "Cheetos Lip Balm" but now I can keep up-to-date thanks to this informative blog: http://www.strangenewproducts.com/
